Home Visits
Sometimes it helps to talk things through face-to-face. We offer free home visits to eligible homeowners across the West of England.
One of our friendly, knowledgeable advisors will visit your home for around half an hour to talk about how your home is performing and where there might be opportunities to improve energy efficiency. This is not a technical assessment and won’t result in a formal report, but we’ll follow up with an email summarising the key points we discussed.
These visits are designed to get you thinking, answer your questions, and build confidence in taking the next step. They’re ideal if you’re just starting out and want some personalised guidance.
If you already know what you’re aiming to do—like upgrading insulation, heating, or renewables —and need more detailed, technical advice or materials to share with an installer, an assessment such as a Home Energy Efficiency Plan (HEEP) may be more suitable.

Home Assessment Vouchers
Once you’ve had initial advice—whether through a phone call or a free home visit—a home energy assessment is the next step to move your home improvement plans forward.
There are a range of professional assessment available and each one can provide different tailored guidance on energy efficiency improvements that suit your home. Some provide DIY suggestions while others give estimated costs, carbon savings and materials that can be shared with installers. Home Energy Efficiency Plan
Ready to go further? Our Home Energy Efficiency Plans (HEEP) give you a detailed, personalised roadmap to a more energy-efficient home.
A HEEP starts with an in-depth survey of your home. From there, you’ll receive a tailored plan that highlights the most effective energy-saving upgrades for your property, such as insulation, heating systems, ventilation, and renewables.
We’ll also provide cost estimates, potential carbon savings, and advice on suitable funding routes.
It begins with a comprehensive energy assessment of your home, identifying areas where energy efficiency can be improved. Based on the assessment, we develop a customised plan, outlining recommended upgrades and energy-saving measures. We guide you through the entire process, from selecting the right materials and technology to implementing the solutions with minimal disruption to your home life.

Rob owns a first floor flat in Clifton, which has historically been a very cold and draughty home. Determined to improve its energy efficiency and comfort, Rob undertook several modifications, including draft-proofing, secondary glazing on the sash windows, and internal insulation.
