So you’ve got a project you want doing… Which installer should you pick?
Here’s a few tips:
- For jobs such as insulation, electricals and plumbing, it’s a good sign if they’re registered with Trustmark. This means they’re backed by a quality-led government scheme – giving you the reassurance that they can be relied upon.
- Get multiple quotes from at least 2-3 businesses, more if you’re spending more money. Make sure you give them all the same brief for the quote so you can compare the best way forward.
- Gut instinct is important. If you’re finding it hard to communicate with them or something feels off, take the time to figure out why.
- Check their reviews! You could even ask to visit other properties the installer has worked on, so long as the owner gives permission.
