The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority’s Skills Bootcamps funding is now open.

Are you ready to embark on a journey of skills enhancement, collaboration, and unlocking opportunities for your business or organisation? Following the success of Skills Bootcamps delivery in our region, the Combined Authority is making a further £7 million available to employers and training providers to deliver specialist green skills training within a range of sectors.

Skills Bootcamps are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer.

Who Can Apply?

The Skills Bootcamps Launch Event welcomes applications from a diverse range of participants, whether you represent an employer, training provider, college, university, sector representative, or a community/charity organisation. This is your chance to join up with like-minded entities to redefine workforce skills in the pursuit of net zero.

This funding opportunity presents a golden ticket for businesses and organisations to upskill their existing workforce or recruit new talent. In the era of net zero ambitions, having a skilled and adaptable workforce is crucial. The Skills Bootcamps offer a unique platform to build the necessary skills and workforce supply chains to contribute meaningfully to the journey toward a sustainable future.

The funding is after applications from organisations who can collaborate to co-design and co-deliver pioneering ways to address ‘in-demand’ skills across these sectors. These collaborations can be new or existing along with any combination of employers, training providers, colleges, universities, sector representatives and/or community charity organisations.

The skills programme has been made to create a fair and inclusive transition which addresses gaps and supports inclusive learning opportunities.

Retrofit Environmental Technologies

Join Bath College at the vibrant Somer Valley Campus, for engaging face-to-face courses on Air Source Heat Pumps and Positive Input Ventilation. Each course spans 4 sessions, each lasting 5 hours. Upon completion, participants will be awarded a prestigious Level 3 qualification.
